Terms of Use
These terms set the rules between you and İsmail Yankayış, the developer of Palbox, when you use the app. By using the app you accept these terms.
The service
Palbox is an app that records shared expenses, debts and game scores between friends. It also keeps the reminders that you set for yourself or for others. It also keeps gold days: a record of the turns and dates of a gold day. For a gold day the app records only who receives on which date; it does not collect, hold or move gold or money. The app only keeps records. It does not hold or move money and does not start payments. Paying a debt is between the users and happens outside the app. Palbox is not a payment service or a banking service.
Account and sign-in
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the app.
- To use the app, you sign in with your Apple or Google account, or with an e-mail address and a password.
- Only the owner uses an account. Do not open an account for somebody else.
- You are responsible for the security of the provider account, the e-mail address and the password you sign in with, and of your device.
Your content
The expenses, payments, descriptions, names and scores that you enter are your content. We process this content only to provide the service: we store it, sync it between your devices and show it to the people you share a ledger with. The other members of a ledger see the records that you enter in it.
An admin of a group ledger can delete the ledger for every member. The records of the ledger are then deleted for every member, also the records that you entered. A deleted ledger cannot be restored. The scorekeeper of a game session can delete it, with its scores, for every player. An admin of a gold day can delete it, with its turns and history, for every member.
If you enter a name for another person, make sure that you may use it. The Privacy Policy and Privacy Notice explains how personal data is processed.
Prohibited use
- Using the app for an unlawful purpose.
- Writing text in records, names or descriptions that harasses, threatens or insults another person.
- Using the score keeping for betting or gambling.
- Trying to disrupt the service: going around the request limits, trying to reach the data of other accounts, using security holes.
We can suspend or close an account that breaks these rules.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account in the app at any time: Profile › Settings › Delete account. The account is deleted also when you have open balances. The account deletion page lists the data that is deleted and the data that is kept.
Limitation of liability
- We provide the app as it is. We do not guarantee that it works without breaks or errors.
- Balances are calculated from the records that users enter. The user who enters a record is responsible for its accuracy.
- We are not a party to disputes about debts and payments between users.
- To the extent that the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damage that comes from the use of the app. This clause does not remove a liability that the law does not allow to limit.
Changes
If these terms change, we publish the new text on this page and change the "Last updated" date. If you keep using the app after a change, the new terms apply.
Governing law
The law of the Republic of Türkiye applies to these terms. Your rights as a consumer under the law stay.
